In case you don't know what Samsung and Orange have been up to, then you must have lived in the woods till very recently. For those who didn't, they probably know that these two companies released the Samsung Galaxy Apollo together, a phone which also goes by these other names: (Samsung) Galaxy Leo and (Samsung) Galaxy Naos.

But where exactly can you find the Orange telecommunications? Mainly in Europe (France, the UK, and other countries), Africa, Middle East and in the Caribbean. All the countries are being listed here.

Now, let's see why would you buy this smartphone if you lived in one of the countries where it is available. You probably like smaller smartphones then this one is made for you: its screen is only 3.2 inch big, and it is a TFT capacitive touchscreen one.

You can use this phone in both 2G and 3G networks, but not for making video calls, because the secondary camera is missing. Another network related feature is the dual band: GSM and HSDPA. The main camera is not a very powerful one with its 3.15MP, but it has smile and face detection so that they will be nicely framed in the image, geo-tagging and autofocus.

The Samsung Galaxy S Apollo can have its operating system (Android 2.1) upgraded to at least version 2.2 and since it's a smartphone it also has RAM memory of 256MB. When you buy this phone you get an 1GB microSD, however you can ditch it for one of 32GB, but you have to buy it yourself.

Is it apps that you're interested in? Lucky you, then: you get access to both Android Market and to Orange Application Shop, for more possibilities. The screen might be too small for editing documents, but you have many other features and functions which will make up for it.
